At 93 years old, this icon is left alone in her Beverly Hills home

Angie Dickinson, once one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actresses, is now 92 and living a quiet life in Beverly Hills. She rose to fame in the 1950s with anthology shows, later winning a Golden Globe for Rio Bravo and starring in Police Woman, a groundbreaking role that inspired many women to join law enforcement. Though never calling herself a feminist, Angie pushed boundaries on-screen. She admitted she disliked Police Woman’s “too clean” format and low pay but took the role to become a household name.

At the height of her career, she was linked to Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy, and Dean Martin, and she appeared in both the original and 2001 versions of Ocean’s Eleven. Her personal life was marked by two marriages, the second to composer Burt Bacharach. They had a daughter, Nikki, born prematurely in 1966 with Asperger’s and vision problems. Angie scaled back her career to care for her, but Nikki tragically took her own life in 2007 at age 40.

Angie later described her as “wonderful, funny, and very smart.” After her divorce from Bacharach—due in part to his infidelity—Angie worked sporadically, last appearing in a 2009 TV movie. Known for her glamour and privacy, she has turned down “grandmother parts” and considered theater instead.

Friends describe her as a kind neighbor, and while she lives alone, admirers hope she is content. A trailblazer long before modern “strong women” headlines, Angie Dickinson left her mark on Hollywood with beauty, grit, and unapologetic independence.
