Jennifer Robyn Bernard, best known for playing Terry Brock on General Hospital in the 1980s, has died at 64. Bernard was found early Tuesday morning in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto, California. Police identified her through fingerprints. The cause of death has not yet been released, and an autopsy with toxicology tests is pending.
Born May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, Bernard began her career with the film Diva in 1981. She went on to appear in Whiz Kids (1983), The Facts of Life (1984), and other shows before landing her breakout role on General Hospital. From 1984 to 1990, she appeared in 145 episodes as Terry Brock, a character remembered fondly by longtime fans. She later played a psychologist in Voices from the High School (2002).
Bernard’s younger sister, Crystal Bernard, is also an actress, best known for her role as Helen on Wings. Fans of General Hospital have been mourning online, sharing memories of Bernard’s time on the soap. One wrote, “May Robyn Bernard rest in peace. She made GH unforgettable.”
Her death follows another major loss for the show—actress Jacklyn Zeman, who played Bobbie Spencer, died in 2023 at 70 after battling cancer.
