Bárbara Jankavski, a Brazilian influencer known as the “Human Barbie” for undergoing 27 plastic surgeries, has died under suspicious circumstances at just 31 years old. Authorities confirmed her death on November 2 in São Paulo, where she was found wearing only underwear with visible injuries to her eye and back. Police say Jankavski spent the night with 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, who admitted hiring her for “sexual services.”
According to a police report obtained by CNN Brazil, the two had taken illicit substances before she became unresponsive. De Vitto told investigators he noticed she wasn’t moving after she “fell asleep” and called emergency services. Paramedics guided him through CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have opened a formal investigation, calling the case “suspicious.”
An autopsy and toxicology tests are underway to determine what substances were involved and whether foul play occurred. A friend of De Vitto later claimed Jankavski’s injuries came from a fall earlier that day, though police have not verified that account.
Online, Jankavski was known as “Boneca Desumana” (“Inhuman Doll”) and had over 400,000 followers fascinated by her extreme transformations and glamorous persona. She frequently documented her cosmetic procedures, reportedly undergoing 27 surgeries to achieve her “Human Barbie” image.
Fans have since filled her social media pages with tributes as investigators continue to examine the circumstances of her death.
