Built in 1887, this once-grand house had deteriorated so badly that locals considered it dangerous to even step inside. With sagging floors, crumbling walls, and decades of neglect, most buyers wouldn’t give it a second glance. Many believed it was beyond saving. Everything changed when retired couple Jim and Jean Leaman decided to take a chance.
The Leamans had watched the house slowly decay over the years, yet they couldn’t ignore its classic architecture and hidden potential. Driven by a deep appreciation for historic homes, they purchased the ruin and committed themselves to restoring it—fully aware of the challenge ahead.
For five years, they worked tirelessly, day in and day out, pouring time, effort, and resources into the project. What emerged is nothing short of extraordinary. The transformation feels almost unreal.

Inside, the home looks like something straight out of a storybook. Five different types of wood create richly layered floors, while stained-glass windows fill the rooms with vibrant color. Each of the five bedrooms on the second floor has its own unique character, and even the small attic has been thoughtfully turned into a cozy office space.

The exterior was carefully restored to honor the home’s original beauty, while subtle modern touches make it comfortable and livable today. Walking through the front door feels like stepping back in time.

What was once a crumbling ruin now stands as a stunning, welcoming home—a powerful reminder of what vision, patience, and determination can achieve.
