Donald Trump has faced criticism for recent remarks about Karoline Leavitt, his 28-year-old press secretary. Last month, he called journalist Catherine Lucey a “piggy” and also labeled another female reporter “nasty” and “stupid.” On December 9, Trump made comments about Leavitt’s appearance during a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.
He praised her as a “superstar,” saying, “Isn’t Karoline great?” He then added, “She has a beautiful face,” and described her on-air confidence, linking it to his administration’s policies. Trump also commented on her lips, saying they “don’t stop-op-op-op, like a little machine gun,” and suggested she had an easier job because she promotes his views.
Many reacted with outrage on social media. Critics called Trump’s comments “grotesque,” “juvenile,” and “disgusting,” emphasizing that reducing a woman to her looks is inappropriate and offensive. Some said they would be mortified if their boss spoke about them that way.

Leavitt has not directly responded but shared posts about the event on Twitter. She recently discussed her age-gap relationship, revealing she couldn’t find a man her age who was as mature, as her husband is 32 years older.
