Actor Corey Parker, known for his role in the popular sitcom Will & Grace, has passed away at the age of 60. He died on March 5 in Memphis, Tennessee, after battling cancer. His representative, Chris Ahuja, confirmed the news to People, saying Parker died peacefully surrounded by family. Ahuja remembered Parker as more than just a talented performer. “Corey Parker was an incredible human being. He was a friend, mentor, and deeply supportive presence for many people in the acting community,” he said.
Those who worked with him often praised his kindness, generosity, and passion for helping others succeed. Parker had previously revealed that he was diagnosed with advanced metastatic cancer following a hip replacement surgery. In a final update shared on February 17, he described the illness as terminal. He explained that he had undergone radiation treatment intended to reduce pain in his arm and hips, but the treatment also affected his ability to speak and eat.
At the time, he shared that his family was preparing his home for hospice care. Born in New York City on July 8, 1965, Parker was the son of actress Rochelle Natalie “Rocky” Parker, which introduced him to the entertainment world at an early age. He began acting in television commercials when he was just four years old and later studied performing arts while becoming a member of the Actors Studio and Ensemble Studio Theatre.

During his career, Parker appeared in several television shows including Flying Blind, Thirtysomething, and Touched by an Angel. He also appeared in films such as Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, Biloxi Blues, and 9½ Weeks. Later in life, Parker became an acting coach, mentoring many young performers. Students often credited him with helping them grow not only as actors but also as individuals.
