In a stunning survival story, three girls missing for ten days after Texas floods were found alive Sunday—sheltering inside a hollow oak tree just a mile from Camp Wrenwood’s ruins. Emily Rivera, Zoey Nash, and Hope Lin survived without food or fire, relying on rainwater, each other, and a survival drill they remembered: “Stay dry, stay quiet, stay together.”

A volunteer hiker heard faint whimpers and discovered the girls curled under damp towels, using bark and a shoelace to seal their shelter. They collected rain using plastic wrappers and drank by wringing out soaked clothes and licking leaves.
