Once a child star, she stepped away from Hollywood to raise a family

The classic TV series Bewitched (1964–1972) charmed audiences with the story of a witch trying to live as an ordinary housewife. One of its most beloved characters was Tabitha, the magical daughter of Samantha and Darrin, played by twins Diane and Erin Murphy.

Born in 1964 in Encino, California, the Murphy twins shared the role in early seasons but Erin eventually took over when they no longer looked alike. Erin recalled how being on set with stars like Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes Moorehead felt like a family experience. She and Montgomery remained close until Montgomery’s death in 1995.
