Trump sparks backlash after comparing Sydney Sweeney and Taylor Swift based on their looks.

Posted on August 7, 2025 By admin

President Donald Trump stirred controversy by praising Sydney Sweeney’s denim ad while slamming Taylor Swift in a series of Truth Social posts. It began with American Eagle’s Fall 2025 campaign featuring Sweeney and the pun “great genes”—with “genes” crossed out and replaced with “jeans.” While some critics called it racially insensitive, the brand defended it.

Trump backed Sweeney, noting she’s a “registered Republican,” and called the ad the “HOTTEST” out there. He then bashed Jaguar’s “woke” commercial and took a swipe at Swift, saying: “Ever since I said I can’t stand her—HATE—she was booed at the Super Bowl and is NO LONGER HOT.” Swift’s fans defended her, pointing to her activism and ownership battles over her music.

The feud isn’t new—Trump previously said, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” after she endorsed Democratic candidates. Trump’s remarks reignited debate over politics, gender, and celebrity influence, with critics calling his attack on Swift petty and inappropriate.
