Popular 1960s Singer Passed Away At Age 101

Jane Morgan, the elegant American singer best known for her hit song “Fascination,” has died at the age of 101. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday in hospice care in Naples, Florida, her family confirmed. Born Florence Catherine Currier on May 3, 1924, in Newton, Massachusetts, Morgan studied music at the Juilliard School. She launched her singing career in Paris in the late 1940s, performing in nightclubs and singing in both English and French.

Her smooth vocals and charm won her a devoted following across Europe. Morgan rose to fame in the U.S. during the 1950s and 60s. Her breakout moment came in 1957 with “Fascination,” a romantic ballad that became her signature song. The hit catapulted her to American stardom, leading to frequent appearances on popular TV variety shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show, The Perry Como Show, and The Dean Martin Show.

Her fluent French, elegant style, and graceful stage presence earned her fans worldwide. She became a staple in American pop music, known for her polished performances and refined image.
