White House physician provides details of Trump’s medical checkup, calling it “unusual” amid ongoing health questions

Posted on October 14, 2025 By admin

Donald Trump’s health is once again under the spotlight after a noticeable bruise appeared on his hand, seemingly covered with makeup. The mark sparked speculation, particularly following reports that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition affecting vein function in the legs. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on October 10 for what she described as a “routine yearly checkup.”

However, this follows another physical he reportedly had in April—his second in 2025—raising eyebrows about the unusual timing. Presidential health historian Jacob Appel noted that multiple annual checkups aren’t common but “not unheard of” without a specific medical reason. Trump’s earlier exam included assessments of his weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, and mental health.

According to Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s October results showed he remains in “exceptional health,” with strong cardiovascular and neurological performance. The memo also confirmed Trump received his flu shot and COVID-19 booster, and that his cardiac age was about 14 years younger than his real age.

When asked about his second exam, Trump jokingly called it a “semiannual physical.” He told the Miami Herald, “I think I’m in great shape, but I’ll let you know… Is there wood around here? I’ll knock on it.” In true Trump fashion, he also recalled former White House doctor Ronny Jackson’s praise, saying Jackson once declared him “the healthiest of all the presidents.”
