One day in class, the teacher noticed Little Johnny squirming in his seat, shifting left and right like he was sitting on a cactus. She walked over and whispered, “Johnny, is everything alright? You look uncomfortable.” Johnny sighed dramatically. “Miss, my legs are itching so bad. I think that new laundry powder my mum used is attacking me!”
Trying not to laugh, the teacher said, “If it’s that bad, you can take my phone and call your mother. Maybe she can bring you clean trousers. But don’t make a scene in class.”
“Thank you, miss!” Johnny said, grabbing the phone and hurrying out of the room.
A few minutes later, Johnny walked back in proudly wearing a pair of bright superhero shorts—on top of his trousers. The class burst into laughter. The teacher rushed over. “Johnny! What are you doing? Why are you wearing those over your pants?” Johnny shrugged. “Mum told me to change into my comfy hero shorts.
But she didn’t say I had to take the itchy trousers off first. And she said heroes wear their gear on the outside!” The teacher sighed, half-frustrated, half-amused. “Well… she’s not wrong.” And for the rest of the day, Little Johnny strutted around like a tiny superhero, itch-free and proud.
