An old woman is about to turn 100, and the whole small town is excited. She’s in great health for her age — still walking to the market, the post office, and the bank without any trouble. Reaching a full century is a big event, so on her birthday the mayor visits to honor her as the oldest resident in town. A local TV station also arrives to film a report for the evening news.
During the interview, the reporter asks the question everyone is waiting for:
“What’s your secret to living such a long and healthy life?”
The old lady smiles and replies,
“It’s simple. I have never, in my entire life, argued with anyone.”
The reporter shakes his head and says, “That’s impossible!”
She nods politely and responds,
“You’re right.”
