A TEENAGER killed in a horror car crash has been named locally as 15-year-old Leah O’Meara as one friend paid tribute and said: “Rest in peace beautiful angel”.
Leah was a passenger in a car which was involved in a two vehicle collision on the R503 at Rearcross near Nenagh in Co Tipperary and she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene on Thursday evening.
Three others in that car – a man and a woman in their 20s and another teenage girl – and the driver of the second car, a woman, were taken to Limerick University Hospital by ambulance.
Gardai say their injuries are not deemed life-threatening.
A post-mortem will take place on young Leah’s remains ahead of her body being released to her family for a funeral.
Her devastated sister Katie said: “My beautiful baby girl.”
