A Heartfelt Legacy: Rob Burrow’s Video Messages for His Children

Rob Burrow, a celebrated rugby league player and advocate for motor neurone disease (MND), left a lasting legacy. His wife, Lindsey, shared that Rob recorded video messages for their children to be played at future milestones.

Lindsey expressed pride in Rob, who became the face of MND awareness, leaving an incredible impact. The family received widespread support after his passing, including a message from Prince William. Together since their teens, Rob and Lindsey married in 2006 and have three children: Macy, Maya, and Jackson.

Using a device translating eye movements into text, Rob recorded birthday wishes and heartfelt messages. Though too emotional to watch immediately, Lindsey cherishes his thoughtful gestures. Diagnosed with MND two years after retiring, Rob raised over £15 million for MND charities with help from his friend Kevin Sinfield.

Appointed a CBE in 2024, Rob’s legacy continues to inspire. Lindsey’s BBC interview on Global MND Awareness Day highlighted his profound impact and the ongoing importance of his mission.
