Beloved Music Icon Alan Osmond Remembered for a Lasting Legacy at 76

According to his family, Alan Osmond died at home in Lehi, Utah, in April 2026. Born in Ogden in 1949, he began singing with brothers Wayne, Merrill and Jay before Disneyland appearances and television brought wider recognition. As the Osmonds became recording stars, Alan contributed vocals, guitar, arrangements and direction. From “One Bad Apple” to the harder sound of “Crazy Horses,” his work helped shape a group whose polished performances demanded relentless preparation.

Multiple sclerosis eventually reduced his time onstage, but not his place in family life or his involvement in meaningful projects. His marriage to Suzanne spanned more than fifty years, and his influence continued through their children and the relatives he mentored.

Fans remembering childhood records and television appearances are mourning more than a familiar performer. They are honoring someone whose contribution reached beyond the spotlight: a musician, organizer and father who kept finding ways to participate.
