Inside Ozzy Osbourne’s Funeral Plans After passed at 76

Posted on July 24, 2025 By admin

Ozzy Osbourne, who passed on July 21, 2025, made it clear he didn’t want a somber funeral. True to his humor and spirit, the “Prince of Darkness” hoped for laughter, Beatles songs, and even coffin pranks. In a 2011 interview, he joked he’d be fine with a medley of Justin Bieber or Susan Boyle — as long as people celebrated, not mourned.

He even imagined a knock from inside his coffin or a video of him asking for a “second opinion” on his death. In 2016, Ozzy said he’d want The Beatles’ “A Day in the Life” played at his funeral, noting his own songs didn’t feel fitting. On Good Morning Britain in 2020, when asked how he wanted to be remembered, he deadpanned: “Bats taste like s—.”

Though fans and family now grieve deeply, Ozzy’s sisters Jean and Gillian shared that his humor never faded. “He was still our John,” Jean said, recalling his last message promising a return to Birmingham. Even as his health declined, Ozzy’s legacy — outrageous, heartfelt, and funny — remained intact. His final wish: to make people laugh one last time.
