In the 2024 presidential race, former President Donald Trump received a boost in the swing state of Pennsylvania as Luzerne County, a longtime Democratic stronghold, flipped to Republican.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of State, Republicans now hold a slim lead of just 83 registered voters in the county, with 87,415 Republicans and 87,332 Democrats.
