June Lockhart, renowned for her iconic TV mom roles, has enjoyed a remarkable nine-decade career. Best known as Ruth Martin on Lassie (1958–1964) and Dr. Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space (1965–1968), she also appeared in series like Bewitched, Magnum, P.I., and 90210, as well as films like Holiday in Handcuffs (2006) and The Remake (2016).
Beyond acting, Lockhart won a Tony Award in 1948 and became a passionate NASA supporter, receiving the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal in 2013. Her personal life includes two marriages, two children (including actress Anne Lockhart), and cherished family traditions like watching A Christmas Carol, where she debuted in 1938.
