Trent and Sondra Williams Mourn Loss of Newborn Son
Sondra Williams, wife of 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams, shared the heartbreaking news of their newborn son, Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr., who was stillborn on November 24 at 35 weeks.
In an emotional Instagram post, Sondra described the pain of saying “the saddest Hello and Goodbye” and revealed that Trenton weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces. Earlier in the pregnancy, the family also lost Trenton’s twin.
Trenton was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder causing severe physical and intellectual challenges, often leading to a short lifespan. Despite their grief, Sondra found comfort in faith, believing Trenton is now a guardian angel.
“I know you’ll always be near, watching over me and your sisters,” she wrote. “For that, my heart smiles with gratitude.”
The Williams family has received an outpouring of support from fans and the NFL community as they navigate this profound loss.
