Michael Bublé Opens Up About How His Son Noah’s Liver Cancer Battle Changed His Perspective and Alter-Ego

Michael Bublé, 47, opened up about how his life changed after his son Noah, now 9, battled hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer, at just three years old. Noah underwent chemotherapy and radiation and is now in remission.

Michael revealed to Red magazine how the experience deeply affected him: “It changed what mattered to me and how I saw life. I lost my ‘alter ego’ as an entertainer after my wife and I went through this unthinkable thing.”

Michael credits his strong marriage to Luisana Lopilato, 35, with their shared understanding of each other’s fulfillment. Married since 2011, they prioritize supporting each other’s careers and family life. “We don’t care what we do – being together is the goal,” he said.

Reflecting on Noah’s illness, Michael told The Mirror how the news left him feeling “unstable and vulnerable” and impacted his music career. “When my son went into remission, I wasn’t ready to return, but now I feel like a great weight has been lifted. My son is healthy, and life is good.”

Michael and Luisana share three other children: Elias (7), Vida (4), and Cielo (5 months). The full interview is available in the March 2023 issue of Red magazine.
