Schiff Considering Rejecting Biden Pardon For J6 Committee Amid Blowback

California Sen. Adam Schiff is considering rejecting a pardon from President Joe Biden, which covered members of the January 6 Committee, including himself.

During an interview on NBC’s *Meet The Press*, Schiff acknowledged potential “blowback” since he had previously argued that accepting a pardon was an “admission of guilt.” He stated that the committee would review the matter but noted the legal uncertainty surrounding such pardons.

Biden’s last-minute pardons, aimed at shielding allies from potential reprisals by a future Trump administration, also included former Rep. Liz Cheney and Dr. Anthony Fauci. However, legal experts noted that these pardons wouldn’t exempt recipients from testifying under oath if subpoenaed. Attorney Jesse Binnall pointed out that they could still face legal consequences for perjury.
