Trump Takes Aim At Democrat Policies In New York Including ‘Sanctuaries’ For Migrants

President Trump plans to pressure New York to end Manhattan’s congestion pricing through the Department of Transportation, potentially withholding federal funds or reopening environmental reviews. He also vowed to remove bike lanes and crack down on criminal migrants in NYC.

Trump, who has spoken with Gov. Kathy Hochul, believes they can reach a deal to eliminate the $9 toll, calling it harmful to businesses. He also criticized subway safety, bike lanes, and pedestrian islands as contributors to congestion.

Additionally, Trump warned that his Justice Department will target New York’s “sanctuary city” policies, arguing they protect criminals. He hinted at lawsuits similar to the DOJ’s recent case against Illinois over immigration enforcement.
