Julia Roberts looked nearly unrecognizable on the set of August: Osage County, dressed in dowdy clothes and makeup-free to play Barbara Weston. Filming in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, she wore layered tops and loose jeans for emotional scenes alongside co-star Ewan McGregor. In one intense scene, the two characters identify a dead body, leading Julia’s character to break down in tears. Between takes, however, the cast—including Julianne Nicholson—shared light-hearted moments. The film also stars Meryl Streep, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Juliette Lewis.
