I have not found a magical artifact but I did find this.

I have not found a magical artifact but I did find this rock at the foot of a boulder with the same pattern on it.

What are the chances the only rock around this boulder on a sandy beach would have the same pattern? Even if there were thousands around it the chances would be at best many millions to one.

But the mystery deepens.

In all the thousands of times I have walked this beach over the years I don’t recall seeing anything like this rock.

That is, until 2–3 years later when about 8 feet of sand was washed away to reveal thousands all with very, very fascinating patterns. Some even twice this size.

So how did this rock travel through about 8 feet of sand and a hundred feet to get to this boulder? And it’s not even the same kind of rock.

I look forward to hearing some intelligent theories.
