Republicans Closing In on Joe Biden, Want Him “Removed From Office Immediately”

Recently, the Republican majority in the House of Representatives has shown strong support for an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Top GOP representatives are joining House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in ramping up the process of potentially removing Biden from office.

Last week, McCarthy drew on two recent Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers, stating an impeachment inquiry would be an asset to Republicans and their efforts to obtain evidence into allegations of misconduct surrounding the Biden family. Across the board, many high-ranking Republicans have agreed with this proposition.

Oversight Committee James Comer weighed in on the issue, supporting the idea of an impeachment inquiry. “I strongly support the speaker. We’re producing more evidence every day that shows this president has broken many laws, his family has broken many laws, and they won’t respond to simple questions like, ‘what did your family do to receive the millions of dollars from our enemies around the world?’ So I think that’s something I would support,” he said.

Georgia Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, who introduced articles of impeachment earlier in May, commented on the alleged corruption within the Biden family. “The President is on record of lying. He said that he had known nothing about his son’s business deals. He knows nothing about any of this stuff, but it is now proven that he has lied to the American people that cannot be ignored, and we can’t sweep it under the rug. So the responsibility literally lies with the Republican conference, to take up an impeachment inquiry. And I think that’s the right thing to do. I’m very happy,” she said.

The American Tribune reported in June on other GOP members in the House who have also made calls for impeachment.  Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment against Joe Biden and Kamala Harris claiming the current administration has “weaponized” the federal government and shielded his family from alleged corrupt business dealings.

Ogles described Biden’s conduct as a “manner contrary to the public trust and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”  The Rep. continued, “Joe Biden has repeatedly abused his position of power, both as vice president and president, to cover up his illicit family business dealings and exploitation of taxpayer resources.”

Recently, Sen. Chuck Grassley released the bombshell FD-1023 document, an FBI record describing the alleged criminal scheme involving Joe Biden when he served as Vice President under Obama and a Ukrainian business executive.  The advent of this report has also fueled the Republican calls for impeachment against Biden.

“I’ve been calling for impeaching Joe Biden since Sen. Grassley released the FD-1023 suggesting that Joe Biden abused his power to enrich his family and assist foreign nationals. If Republicans substantiate these allegations, Joe Biden must be removed from office immediately,” said Indiana Rep. Jim Banks.

As we progress through the latter half of Biden’s presidency, Republicans continue to call for Biden’s removal from office.  Given the new evidence that continues to surface against Biden, the GOP is seeking out opportunities to take meaningful political action.
